Working at Berry Creek Packing Company
Berry Creek Packing offers seasonal work to people who can commit to stay for the whole season (approximately 10 – 12 weeks). Work generally starts in mid-August and ends in mid-November, depending on seasonal conditions.

Berry Creek Packing provides accommodation support and other incentives to seasonal workers who meet our expectations and stay for the whole season. We require all employees to work effectively and cooperatively as a team.
Duties
Although you may apply for a particular position, all seasonal workers are trained in various aspects of the pack house and are expected to perform duties as required to meet the demands of the business. Our business relies on an “all hands on deck” methodology meaning that everyone is expected to do whatever is needed especially when there is a lot of work in a short amount of time.
Any offer of employment is conditional to your understanding and acceptance of this methodology. You can rest assured that you will not be expected to undertake duties that you are not trained or qualified to do. Duties may include, but may not be limited to: sorting and packing fruit, loading fruit into bins, placing stickers on fruit, stacking boxes, completing paperwork, cleaning work and amenity areas, working with machinery etc.
Requirements
Berry Creek Packing complies with all Australian laws, and all employees of Berry Creek Packing are required to meet their obligations with respect to Australian laws. Backpackers and international workers must hold a valid visa to work in Australia. Before you can commence employment you must have the following:
- Tax File Number (or ABN for contractors)
- Australian Bank Account details
- Photo identification
- Passport (mandatory for Non Residents)
You will also be required to have or join a Superannuation Fund and you must be able to provide us with a Superannuation membership number and address and contact details of your nominated fund.
You do not need to provide these details prior to commencing employment however to assist with our administration and prompt processing and payment of wages we request that you have this information ready immediately upon commencement of employment.
